Fast-Forward to Week 9...

I had a bit of a reality check this weekend when my long run for the week (12 miles) didn't go quite as smoothly as I'd hoped.  I could list a bunch of excuses, but the only real reason is that I need to get serious about my training.  I've been skipping runs, not eating very well, not getting enough sleep... and now, with 74 days left until the marathon, that has to stop!  If I want to get through the marathon without feeling completely miserable or walking half of it, I've got to get the miles in now.

Something that will help is my new gear from the Alzheimer's team!  We got a singlet, a jacket, and a long-sleeve tech tee... and of course I also purchased a "casual" tee and a short-sleeve tech tee.  Here I am modeling the long-sleeved style before a run last week:


I won't have any gear from the PKD Foundation until I raise more money!  Please consider donating so I can get some swag :)  (And of course for all the right reasons - research, treatment, yada yada!)
